We bought Ted Leo’s first album, under the name “Tej Leo” (?), at Portland’s Dirtnap Records. It was one of a pile of CDs purchased for the road trip down along the coast to SF. I didn’t know anything could suck this bad! Seriously, worst album ever? And Ted Leo! So unexpected. Instead we listened to the Exploding Hearts like 8,000 times.

This place looks awesome. I am going to agitate for going to see the Watson Twins and Tim Fite there tomorrow night. Yeah! We’re in Portland! Today we ate heart-attack biscuits, spit white-cherry pits in the ridiculously nice backyard garden, drank beer at the brewers’ festival and rented bikes. Whee! Vacation!
