I just read Jami’s Book Notes thingie for Largehearted Boy wherein she references that one awesome parking lot show in the early 00s in Williamsburg and also an early Hold Steady show at Mighty Robot in 2003. I fell in love that night. Craig later told me this was his favorite picture of himself ever taken besides his wedding photos. Of course, they weren’t famous then…. For all I know, he likes this newest press pic better.
Their new album, “Stay Positive,” comes out July 15. (I wish they’d called it “Positive Jams.”)
